Benita Thornhill, LPCA and Doctor of Clinical Psychology student, received a Master of Arts degree in Community and Agency Counseling from Hampton University in 2009. She received an award of distinction for scoring one standard deviation above her graduating class on the CPCE. Benita holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Service Counseling, with a minor in Sociology from Old Dominion University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Benita is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors as a LPCA, is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist registrant, and is the owner of Coastal Carolina Wellness Connection, located in Jacksonville, NC.
She has always been very passionate about helping individuals live their best lives. She specializes in helping couples create their very own “happily ever after” and helping individuals build a life that they love living. Benita has been treating individuals with mental health disorders for over 8 years. She has worked extensively with adolescents, couples and families in crisis and is trained in the areas of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, behavior disorders, addiction and couples issues.
