Adrienne James is a native of Eastern North Carolina. She is a wife and mother of four. In December 2000, Adrienne rededicated her life to Christ, which led her to Abundant Life International Baptist Cathedral. She enrolled in Abundant Life Christian College where she studied Theology. In September 2005, under the leadership of Bishop A. G. Mullen, Jr., Adrienne preached her initial sermon and received her license in Ministry. Adrienne walks in the five-fold gift of an Evangelist. As a part of her devotion to the ministry, Adrienne serves within multiple auxiliaries, including the Board of Directors for Abundant Life Community Outreach. Adrienne is a graduate of North Carolina College of Theology, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Theology/Biblical Studies.
Recognizing her leadership capability, Adrienne was chosen by the President of the Chamber of Commerce, to attend the Jacksonville/Onslow Leadership Class and Seven Habits of Highly Effective People program. She successfully completed and received her certifications. Adrienne is an energetic member of her community, serving on several committees at the Jacksonville/Onslow Chamber of Commerce. She volunteers on the Minority Business Service Committee, where she serves as Chairperson, and the Education Golf Tournament Committee. Adrienne also volunteers on the Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Board of Directors.
Responding to the tornado that struck Onslow County in 2011, Adrienne personally organized a fund raiser where all proceeds were donated to the American Red Cross. She is a passionate advocate for children which prompted her to become a Guardian Ad-Litem. Adrienne also volunteered with the Onslow Women Shelter, serving on the Emergency Response Team.
In 2013, Adrienne was awarded the Minority Entrepreneur of the Year, by the Jacksonville/Onslow Chamber of Commerce. In 2016 she was honored by the NorthEast Community Development Corporation, as an Intriguing African American Woman. Adrienne is Co-Owner of M&S Sanitation, LLC, where she works diligently beside her husband. Their mission is to promote a health environment for the present and future generations. Her desire above all is to see souls saved; remembering that it is not about her, but all about Christ

A: Integrity. Punctuality. Consideration.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY?
A: Quitting is never an option. As long as there’s life, there’s hope.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?
A: I have not reached my greatest, but I am grateful to be a minister and servant of God.

A: Wholeness; advancing towards my goals with expectations of accomplishment.

A: The Lord is my passion, it comes from Him.

A: To have the ability to give others employment. In an effort to help the economy and families.

A: I’m inspired by many.

A: Ministry 17 years. Business owner 6 years. Community involvement 14 years.
Q: WHAT ASPECT OF YOUR WORK DO YOU FIND MOST SATISFYING?
A: Helping others in various aspects.
Q: WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO WOMEN WHO ARE ENTREPRENEURS OR THINKING ABOUT BECOMING AN ENTREPRENEUR?
A: Go for it! Never stop at no!
Q: WHAT DO YOU WANT YOUR BRAND AND NAME TO BY SYNONYMOUS WITH?
A: Faith and trust and God.
Q: WHAT DO YOU WANT WOMEN WHO ATTEND YOUR SESSION TO LEAVE THE CONFERENCE KNOWING?
A: That all things are possible and to believe in themselves.
AFTER INTERVIEWING ADRIENNE THE “THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER” I WALKED AWAY WITH 3 VERY IMPORTANT REALIZATIONS:
Takeaway #1: As long as I am breathing, I have hope.
Takeaway #2: Just because I am told “No” it doesn’t mean I get to give up. I have to keep pushing.
Takeaway #3: I have to believe in myself to make my dream reality!
